TGIF!!!

Blog Hop & Follow Me Friday!!

Book Blogger Hop
Just put this blog together and I'm in desperate need of followers!

TODAY'S QUESTION:

What are you reading and why are you reading it?

I am currently reading Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs. A friend of mine lent me her Mercy Thompson series, and I fell in love with Patricia Briggs's books. She suggested that I read Briggs's Alpha and Omega series, which is set in the same world as the Mercy Thompson series, but on a slightly earlier time line. It's not as steamy and intense, but it's still turning out to be a great series. One of the sweetest paranormal romance stories ever :)

This week's question is:

What is the book you are currently 'pushing'? (Pushing mean trying to get people to read it)
I'm currently pushing Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch  by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett. I picked this book up for my dad in a little eclectic book store, and he absolutely loved it. I'm going to read this one after I finish Cry Wolf.

Here's the description:

The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

Good answer! The answer on my book blog is a little embarassing; it’s a book that’s been sitting on my TBR pile for a year.

To my shame, I only opened the book because I remember it contained an Amazon gift card.

Hopping through. New follower! The only Neil Gaiman book I've read is The Graveyard Book, but I loved it. I should read more. I've been wanting to read Patricia Briggs too.

Alison, you should definitely read Patricia Briggs. The Mercy Thompson series is amazing. It's definitely a fantasy book, and I normally don't go for such unbelievable stories, but I loved this one. It scared the crap out of me then had me laughing the very next minute. I'm reading Cry Wolf right now, and it's getting very intense. Definitely check out Briggs's page: http://www.patriciabriggs.com and take a look at the series descriptions. Enjoy!

And a thanks to everyone for the comments. I spending the day tomorrow checking out all of your blogs.
